Corporate Overview:

Pocket-Promo has created an SMS (Text) message advertising platform for mobile devices. Our industry leading text message marketing system is being used by companies that range in size from multinational firms to individual, one person shops.   They are using our SMS services to expand their brand awareness and increase their sales through return clientele.

Responsibilities:

Pocket-Promo’s Advertising Sales Team is responsible for the monetization of our text message mobile ad formats in key markets around the world.

The Business to Business Sales Associate is responsible selling ad packages and for managing a subset of agency, network, and client direct relationships. The candidate will work closely with product marketing, business development, and operations to enhance and refine sales products, sales offerings and sales materials.

The candidate must be able to close new sales and maintain client relationships for repeat and upgraded sales. This position requires experience with mobile devices and interactive sales as well as strong management, operational and organizational skills. This person must be a self-starter, solutions oriented and fearless. Love of mobile technologies and startups a HUGE bonus.

Qualifications:

  • Proven record in mobile technologies preferred, but not required:
    • Must have desire to meet or exceed sales goals
    • Large-account sales and sales program management beneficial, but not required
    • Experience growing relationship value over time
  • Understanding of mobile market place and technologies or willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability and desire to manage ad programs through the entire advertising cycle; from business relationship to sale, to final program reporting and up-sell
  • Ability to develop and cultivate deep relationships at all levels especially   Brand Managers & Media Buyers and small businesses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong preference for rolodex of interactive advertising buyers
  • Must be comfortable with changing environments and responsibilities. If you aren’t into the joyride of a startup, no need to apply
  • Must be technically proficient, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Usage
